Tom is a Paralegal in RLK's Commercial Litigation team. He enjoys getting to the heart of complex disputes, analysing the detail and helping clients understand their options. Known for his thoughtful and methodical approach, Tom combines strong legal analysis with clear communication, helping clients feel informed and supported throughout their matter
Tom is a Paralegal in RLK’s Commercial Litigation team. He enjoys getting to the heart of complex disputes, analysing the detail and helping clients understand their options. Known for his thoughtful and methodical approach, Tom combines strong legal analysis with clear communication, helping clients feel informed and supported throughout their matter. He is particularly interested in understanding what clients are looking to achieve and helping the wider team deliver practical, commercial solutions.
Before joining RLK, Tom gained experience across a range of commercial and public interest matters, building a strong foundation in legal research, drafting and case analysis. He also gained experience at Brabners through a vacation scheme, working within the Property Development team and gaining exposure to a range of commercial property matters.
Tom also spent time at a public interest law clinic in Hong Kong, where he drafted a judicial review application in a complex statelessness case. The experience gave him valuable insight into the impact legal advice can have on people’s lives and reinforced the importance of understanding a client’s objectives, communicating clearly and finding practical solutions to complex problems.
Tom graduated from Durham University with a 2:1 degree in Law, achieving a First in his dissertation. Alongside his studies, he gained international legal experience, further developing his understanding of different legal systems and approaches.
Outside of Work
Outside the office, Tom enjoys playing football and has represented his university college in both football and futsal. He is also a keen musician and holds Grade 8 in piano and violin.
Tom enjoys travelling and experiencing new cultures, with Central Asia and South America high on his list of future destinations.
