Chris has a strong background in insurance-based Civil Litigation and is Head of the Insurance Litigation department. Chris brings a sharp commercial mindset to his work, having spent time in the legal team of a major insurer and working in-house with FTSE 250 companies and international insurers. His expertise in Civil Litigation has earned him recognition in the Legal 500, and he is known for his meticulous attention to detail, commitment, and approachable client service.
Chris’ key areas of expertise include; Injunctions, Group litigation, Commercial fraud, Government claims against Covid-19 PPE suppliers, NHS claims relating to Covid-19 vaccinations, Shareholder disputes, Franchise disputes, Restrictive covenants and fiduciary duties, Insolvency litigation, Defamation.
He leads teams of lawyers in innovative, high-profile group action cases, including a successful arbitration (Salon Gold Award) on behalf of over 350 clients against an international insurance company. Chris also works closely with top barristers, including King’s Counsel, and specialist experts to ensure his clients have the strongest possible legal support.

Outside of Work
Chris is based across both RLK offices, Birmingham city centre and Edgbaston, and is passionate about travel, spending time with his family, and fundraising for charity through endurance events.
He has completed an impressive range of challenges, including the Great Birmingham Run, Birmingham Velo, the London Marathon, the Yorkshire Marathon, and the Great North Run. He has also cycled from Land’s End to John O’ Groats unaided and completed the London to Paris ride twice.
