Richard is a highly experienced litigator with over 20 years' experience across Corporate & Commercial Litigation. Richard has held senior roles in firms such as Knights, Emms Gilmore Liberson where he was Head of Commercial Litigation. Syndney Mitchell, Gateley Plc and Bell Lax Solicitors.
Focusing on complex, high-value commercial and corporate disputes. He’s appeared in the High Court, Court of Appeal, and even the Supreme Court, acting for both claimants and defendants in cases ranging from shareholder fallouts to professional negligence and insolvency matters.
Before returning to private practice, Richard was General Counsel at a multinational I-Gaming company. That time in-house sharpened his commercial instincts and gave him a clear sense of what businesses need from their lawyers—practical, strategic advice and someone who gets what’s at stake. Richard has been consistently ranked in the Legal 500 since 2012.

Outside of work
When he’s not in court or advising clients, Richard enjoys his weekends by the water in Devon or taking off across Europe in the family motorhome – always on the hunt for the next great winery.
