Ligia Bob is a Senior Associate in RLK’s Dispute Resolution and Litigation team, specialsing in complex disputes shareholder disputes, contractual disputes and conflicts between partners, LLPs and their members. Ligia advises clients on complex disputes with a commercially minded and pragmatic approach.
Ligia’s practice covers contractual and tortious disputes, civil fraud and asset recovery, banking and professional negligence, contentious insolvency, trust and investment fund matters, shareholder and partnership agreements, and the protection of confidential information. Ligia is known for giving clear, pragmatic advice with a strong understanding of clients’ commercial priorities, helping them protect both their legal position and wider business interests.
Originally qualified in Romania after reading law at the University of Bucharest, Ligia went on to pass the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test in 2009 and qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in March 2010. She was also admitted as a solicitor in Gibraltar in February 2021, having completed the Professional Certificate of Competence in Gibraltar Law in 2020.
What sets Ligia apart is a clear focus on the bigger picture. Rather than treating litigation as a purely legal exercise, she works closely with clients to understand their wider objectives and develop strategies that are both detailed and commercially effective.
Outside work
When she’s not in court or advising clients, Ligia enjoys to spend her time with her son.
