Joshua is a Paralegal in RLK Solicitors’ Commercial Dispute Resolution & Litigation team, specialising in debt recovery. He works with individuals, SMEs and businesses to recover outstanding invoices and payments, helping clients achieve practical resolutions while safeguarding their commercial interests.
Joshua began his career at Bevan Brittan LLP, where he was a Paralegal in the Health and Care Regulatory team. Before entering practice, he completed his Law degree at Keele University, graduating with a 2:1. During his studies he gained valuable experience as a legal adviser for CLOCK, a family law organisation, shadowed a judge at Birmingham County Court, and spent time with barristers to build his advocacy knowledge. He was also recognised academically, achieving the highest mark in his Law in Action module.
Known for his pragmatic and detail-driven approach, Joshua is forensic in his preparation, ensuring that all key aspects of a case are understood before advising clients. He combines strong communication skills with a commercial awareness of the impact delayed payments can have, while also taking time to understand the challenges clients face. This balance allows him to support clients with both clarity and empathy, encouraging cooperation and positive outcomes.
Outside of work, Joshua is a keen runner and recently completed the Birmingham Half Marathon in 1 hour 33 minutes. He also enjoys the gym, playing guitar, tennis, athletics and football. A Manchester United supporter, he values time spent with friends and family and finds balance through sport, music and reading.
