Surinderpal is a Solicitor in RLK’s Private Client team, specialising in Wills, Trusts, Probate, and high-net-worth estate planning and administration. He supports individuals, families, and trustees, particularly where matters involve complex succession issues, technical trust structures, or sensitive family dynamics.
He has worked extensively as a solicitor across England and Wales, frequently stepping into head-of-department roles and resolving high-value or technically challenging private client matters. His experience includes administering complex estates, negotiating APR and BPR with HMRC, preparing trust accounts and tax returns and advising on succession disputes.
Surinderpal holds an LL.M in Law, full TEP membership of STEP including their Certificate in Trusts and Estates and gained the full TEP status via the Qualified Practitioner route. Additionally, Surinderpal has the Higher Rights of Audience, a civil and commercial mediation accreditation, and extra training in arbitration.
His approach is detail-focused, pragmatic, and solution-driven. He aims to provide clarity in situations that can feel overwhelming, ensuring clients understand the options available and the implications for their estates, trusts, or family arrangements. Surinderpal is often instructed by his ability to quickly stabilise complex files, identify risks, and deliver efficient, technical sound outcomes.
Outside of work, Surinderpal continues his professional development through language studies and international trust and estate training, maintaining a keen interest in comparative succession law and cross-border estates.
