RLK Solicitors has achieved its first UK-wide ranking in the Chambers UK 2027 Guide, recognising the firm’s specialist expertise in complex commercial litigation and dispute resolution.

With offices in Birmingham and London, RLK Solicitors has been ranked in the Dispute Resolution Specialist Firms: UK-wide category by Chambers and Partners.

This marks a significant milestone for the firm and reflects the continued growth of its specialist litigation practice, the complexity of the disputes it handles and its expanding national presence.

The independent recognition follows RLK’s first ranking in The Legal 500 UK 2027 for Commercial Litigation: Birmingham, announced just two weeks earlier.

National recognition for specialist dispute resolution expertise

RLK Solicitors advises businesses, business owners, directors, shareholders and individuals on complex, high-value disputes where significant financial, commercial and reputational interests are at stake.

The firm’s Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution team handles a broad range of matters, including shareholder and director disputes, contractual claims, civil fraud, injunctions, insolvency litigation, professional negligence claims, insurance disputes and group actions.

Where appropriate, the team prioritises alternative dispute resolution (ADR), including negotiation, mediation and arbitration, helping clients resolve disputes commercially and effectively without unnecessary litigation.

RLK has also played a significant role in Business Interruption Insurance litigation, representing thousands of businesses in disputes with insurers and pursuing important test cases, including the landmark Salon Gold arbitration.

Building a nationally recognised disputes practice

Satish Jakhu, Chief Executive Officer, Director and Head of Dispute Resolution & Litigation at RLK Solicitors, said:

“This is a significant moment for RLK. We set out to build a genuinely specialist disputes practice capable of handling complex, high-value litigation and taking on well-resourced opponents.

“To now be recognised by Chambers on a UK-wide basis is an important validation of how far we have come and the quality of the practice we are continuing to build.”

Chris Guy, Chief Commercial Officer, Director and Head of Insurance Litigation at RLK Solicitors, added:

“This recognition belongs to the whole team. We have taken on some incredibly complex cases, often against major institutions and insurers, and our lawyers have shown real determination in achieving the best possible outcomes for our clients.

“We are hugely grateful to the clients and professional contacts who put their trust in RLK and took time to speak to Chambers as part of its independent research. Their feedback makes this recognition particularly meaningful.”

A significant year of independent recognition

The Chambers UK 2027 ranking comes just two weeks after RLK Solicitors achieved its first ranking in The Legal 500 UK 2027 for Commercial Litigation: Birmingham.

Together, these independent rankings represent an important step in the firm’s development, recognising both its established expertise in the Midlands and its growing national reputation for handling complex commercial disputes.

With offices in Birmingham and London, RLK continues to develop its specialist litigation offering, supporting businesses and individuals facing challenging disputes across the UK.
