Chris Guy
Chris Guy is the Head of the Business Interruption Litigation department and has recently been made a Director. Chris is primarily from an insurance based civil litigation background, having trained at Legal 500 firm Berrymans Lace Mawer (now Clyde & Co).
Chris has an astute commercial mindset, having worked within the legal team at a major insurer and was previously seconded to assist in-house with FTSE 250 companies and international insurers. Chris was listed in the Legal 500 for his civil litigation expertise. Chris assists clients with his attention to detail, commitment and user-friendly service.
Chris heads up the Business Interruption department and is a leading specialist in this niche area of commercial litigation. Chris is acknowledged in one of the leading books in this field by Neil Fawcett titled “A Practical Guide to Business Interruption Insurance”. Chris leads teams of lawyers in innovative, groundbreaking, test group action litigation, including a successful Arbitration acting for over 350 clients against an international insurance company. Chris instructs barristers, including King’s Counsel and experts who are truly specialist in their field to ensure the client has the best team around them.

This includes the Great Birmingham Run, Birmingham Velo, the London Marathon, the Yorkshire Marathon and the Great North Run. He cycled from Land’s End to John O’ Groats unaided, and London to Paris twice. Outside of work, Chris is also a Member of the Board of Trustees for Northfield Community Partnership; a charity working in partnership to enable people and communities to improve their life chances.
