Satish Jakhu

Satish is a member of the Birmingham Law Society and a former Board Director of Birmingham Professional Diversity.
Satish qualified as a solicitor in 1997 and is the head of Rubric Lois King which has roots going as far back as the 1980’s.
Satish began his career with Sydney Mitchell a Birmingham based law firm. He then went on to form a partnership – Dass Jakhu where he was a partner for many years. Satish then went on to form Rubric Legal which merged with Lois King & Co in 2007.
Satish’s specialism lies in Commercial Litigation and Insolvency. He is know for his attention to detail and is commercially astute. Satish is involved in the strategic growth of the firm, but still has a discrete active client list who instruct him on a regular basis.
Outside of the office environment, Satish’s interests include watching and (unsuccessfully) playing football, as well as being a father of two daughters.

Amrit graduated from the University of Hertfordshire with a 2:1 LLB (Hons), before commencing his training contract with a London based firm.
Amrit commenced his employment at Rubric Lois King in November 2006 and is currently running the Barnt Green office, working on both commercial and residential property cases.
In his spare time, Amrit enjoys playing football and going to the cinema.

Kate qualified as a solicitor longer ago than she cares to admit.
She was a partner in Birmingham City Centre firm, Tyndallwoods, for many years before leaving to concentrate on Wills, Probate and Trust work.
She is a Deputy District Chairman for the Tribunal Service, a member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) and Solicitors for the Elderly.
Kate joined Rubric Lois King in April 2008.
Her spare time seems to be spent ferrying children to football and cricket matches and to parties, leaving her time to only dream of country walks and traveling.
Patricia Salhan

Patricia started her legal career with Wragge & Co, a large national practice.
After qualifying as a solicitor in 1990, Patricia specialised in banking and insolvency litigation.
Patricia then went on to work for Salhan & Company, a practice specialising in criminal defence litigation and actions against the police.
Patricia has also worked for the Law Society investigating professional conduct issues.
Patricia is currently working towards becoming a STEP Member.

Malcolm has been in the law for 45 years. After leaving school, he worked for a large Birmingham City Centre based firm for 28 years; and has since had employment in offices in Redditch. He moved to Lois King & Company in April 2004 where he specialises in residential/domestic conveyancing.
He is married with two sons and a grandson. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, gardening and holidays!

Having worked in a legal environment for 19 years Tracy joined the company in August 2002. Previously, she worked as a conveyancer at Bradshaws solicitors and S V Wadsworth & Co.
In her spare time Tracy enjoys spending time with her two children and traveling.
We also employ a trainee solicitor and a trainee licensed conveyancing both of whom are due to qualify later this year.
