Background:
The firm was established in October 2003 and consisted of Satish Jakhu the Principal, Emma Price plus two consultants. This initial team was originally based at Somerville House, Harborne, Birmingham.
However by 2005, the firm had outgrown these premises and moved into the present location on the first floor of Jubilee House which is now home to 13 staff.

The name
Ru - bric: Pronunciation (roo - brik)

The new firm required a name that did not follow the established tradition of using partners’ surnames. Therefore careful consideration was given to choosing the right name which would distinguish it from other firms.
Rubric has a number of meanings dependent on whether you consult an ordinary or a legal dictionary. The legal definition is:
“a title or heading of a statute or chapter in a code of law or an authoritative rule or direction.”

In January 2007 Rubric Legal acquired the practice of Lois King & Co.

Lois King & Co. (Solicitors) has been established for 22 years and has an established team of staff, who are specialists in providing a quality service to both the private and commercial sector in the following areas:

Conveyancing

Probate

Wills

Trusts Advice

In January 2008 the firm’s officially amalgamated to become ‘Rubric Lois King’.

Location

Rubric Lois King has three offices:-

Edgbaston (near Five Ways) making it easily accessible to clients and for the surrounding courts.

Rubery

Barnt Green
