Introduction
Thursday, June 19th, 2008Rubric Legal was born out of the demand for a personal, tailor made legal service to commercial clients who were looking to their lawyers to give added value, distinguishing them from the rest.

Background:
The firm was established in October 2003 and consisted of Satish Jakhu the Principal, Emma Price plus two consultants. This initial team was originally based at Somerville House, Harborne, Birmingham.
However by 2005, the firm had outgrown these premises and moved into the present location on the first floor of Jubilee House which is now home to 13 staff.
The name
Ru - bric: Pronunciation (roo - brik)
The new firm required a name that did not follow the established tradition of using partners’ surnames. Therefore careful consideration was given to choosing the right name which would distinguish it from other firms.
Rubric has a number of meanings dependent on whether you consult an ordinary or a legal dictionary. The legal definition is:
“a title or heading of a statute or chapter in a code of law or an authoritative rule or direction.”
